A family-run Sussex stables has been left devastated after unknown attackers cut-off their horses's tails in a bizarre late night raid.

“It was definitely a malicious attack, whoever did it went into the stables to get the first two and then went up into the other fields – in the dark – to make sure they got the others as well.”

A £1,500 reward has been offered for anyone with any information on the attacks, which leads to a prosecution.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101.

An RSPCA spokesman said it was too early to tell if they would call for prosecuting the attackers.
