COUNTY NEWS: School pupils were on trip to Paris when terrorists attacked

Pupils at a Sussex school were in Paris when a series of terror attacks hit the French capital last night (Friday, November 13).

Students and staff from Lavant House School, near Chichester, left at 7am on Friday morning for the three-day trip. Later that day, gunmen and suicide bombers killed at least 128 people in the city.

The sister of a teacher on the trip took to Twitter to say everybody from the school was safe and well.

They are due to return to the UK at 10:30pm tomorrow night (Sunday, November 15).
