COUNTY NEWS: Travel chaos as lorry crash closes road

The lorry crashed through three gardens on the Bognor Road, Chichester, between Quarry Lane and Florence Road around 2.30am today (July 29).

The A259 Bognor Road has been closed in both directions while emergency services try to clear the scene, causing severe congestion around the city.

Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes where possible.

Firefighters from Chichester and Bognor were called out this morning to make the scene safe and a spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said no-one was trapped or injured in the accident.
