Crash on marsh road

The notorious marsh road was the scene of another accident this week when two vehicles crashed near the Lamb Inn towards Eastbourne.

The A259 was then blocked off to traffic at Little Common roundabout as emergency services responded to the call at approximately 2.10pm.

Victims of the collision at Hooe between a family estate car and a small white van were taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital, including a woman in her 50's suffering neck, back and chest pain.

As the vehicles were recovered Highway support workers realised there were two dogs still locked in the back of the van.

This latest accident happens just weeks after a 30 year old driver lost his life further along Barnhorn Road at Middle Barn when his Citroen Saxo collided with a Chrysler Voyager.
