Crawley Borough Council election results are expected to be announced at around 4pm today (May 8).

People voted for candidates for 12 local council seats and in the General Election yesterday.

A council spokesman said the election results could be interesting because of an high voter turnout resulting from the general election being held at the same time and an unprecedented surge in support for the Conservative Party nationally.

Labour currently holds control of the borough council 21-16.
