The event couldn’t have happened without the support of local businesses and organisations including Crawley Borough Council, The Hawth, headline sponsor London Gatwick Airport, Crawley Town Football Club, Hilton Gatwick, K2 Crawley and Thales UK.

The compere for the evening will be Paul Hendy. Paul first took the stage at The Hawth in 1999 and has been a regular visitor ever since. In recent years, Paul has produced The Hawth’s record-breaking pantomimes and will be doing so again this year. Paul commented: “The Awards are all about the selfless individuals and groups across the Crawley area who help and support others. It’s great that they will be getting some well deserved recognition for all they do. They’re going to be the stars of the show and I’m really looking forward to hearing their stories.”

As well as the Awards Presentations, the audience will be treated to performances from local band Chapter Two, The Sussex Adult Tappers and members of the cast of the recent sell-out St Wilfrid’s school production of Hairspray.

Next week’s Crawley Observer published March 23 will include a picture special on the Community Awards Presentation Evening.
