Crawley council to run healthy eating course

Crawley Borough Council will run a one-day healthy food and special diets course for businesses.

A spokesman said the session at the Town Hall on Thursday (February 25) offered training for staff which would help eateries achieve the council’s Eat Out... Eat Well Gold award.

Cllr Colin Lloyd, Cabinet member for Environment and sustainability, said the scheme was “increasingly important with levels of obesity rising both locally and nationally”.

Twelve staff caterers, four cafes, three nurseries, two restaurants, one takeaway and St Catherine’s Hospice have won the award.

The course costs £35. To book email
