Crawley firefighters put out blazing barbecue and gas cylinder


Crawley firefighters were called to a barbecue fire.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to Roffeys Close, Copthorne, on 6.40pm on Sunday (July 19).

A spokesman said a gas barbecue and gas cylinder in a rear garden was ‘well alight’.

Two fire crews were in attendance until 7.02pm. They used two sets of breathing apparatus and a hose reel to put the flames and cooled the cylinder.
