Crawley Lions Club were hosts to senior citizens for the what has now become the group’s Annual Lunch.
They were served fish and chips followed by ice cream cake all prepared by Kim Edwards of Kim’s Kitchen @ The Plough in Three Bridges Road.
Lion Gary Davies said: “The Crawley Lions started doing lunches for the senior citizens of Crawley about 30 years ago and because of the lack of members they had to stop doing them in 2006/07.
“Last year with 28 members we decided to give it another go and we did two Sunday lunches.
“We will be doing another one with Age UK this year.
“Kim does a terrific amount for charity. She’s a wonderful lady.
“We have had wonderful support from Tracey Olkers the manager at Age UK.
“She has joined Crawley Lions and has been a terrific support.”
They were entertained John Lasmar aka The Hat Man, who gave his rendition of songs including some from Phantom of the Opera.
Gary added: “It was complete with the mask. The old people really loved him.”
