Ben Taylor, 25, who performs across the UK as the Magic Mod, said he will honour the legendary TV magician at his gigs.

Daniels, 77, died yesterday (March 17) after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. His BBC magic show ran for 15 years and took over the primetime Saturday night slot in the 1980s.

Ben, of Gloucester Road, Tilgate, said he was inspired to become a magician when his parents bought him a Paul Daniels magic set when he was six-years-old.

He said: “I’m going to make sure the legend of Paul Daniels lives on in every performance I do now.”
