Plans have been announced to convert a seven-floor office block in the town centre into 173 flats.
A notice of prior approval for change was submitted to Crawley Borough Council by D Rose Planning Ltd on behalf of Portuguese firm Killarney Commercio Internacional Lda. The conversion will see 15 studio flats, 74 one-bedroom flats and 84 two-bedroom flats built at 11 The Boulevard. The block has parking for 161 cars, which the developer plans to retain. The development follows the ongoing conversion of the Boulevard’s former DSS building into flats. Changes to planning laws mean developers do not need permission to convert offices into flats if they prove there are no flooding, contamination or transport issues.
