Hundreds of homes were affected by a power cut in Three Bridges today (Thursday May 19).

A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: “For safety reasons we turned off supplies to 692 customers in the Hazelwick Road area of Crawley for 15minutes between 1.39pm and 1.53pm today to attend to a report of a fault on our overhead electricity network.

“Engineers made the area safe and supplies were restored as quickly as possible. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
