Appeal after jewellery raid at Aldwick house

A property in Aldwick was burgled and a large amount of jewellery stolen, police said.

The raid happened on Thursday, September 17 between 4.30pm and 5pm when police reported that a resident in Gossamer Lane had left his front door insecure whilst he was in the back garden.

Thieves entered the house and made off with jewellery including gold earrings with diamonds, long purple dress earrings, gold knot studs and as well as a silver embossed dish.

According to police a male was seen to ride away on a cycle nearby and has been described as a white male, mid/late teens, average height.

A second male was also seen near to the scene on a cycle and was described as a white male, early 30s, medium build with brown mousey hair wearing a white hooded top and blue tracksuit trousers. He was also described as having acne. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting 1068 17/09/15.
