Police said the armed suspects walked in and threatened a member of staff at the offices of ‘Starline’ in Market Road and demanded money before he was able to run out of the office and call police.
Two men were then seen leaving the taxi firm a short time later with the company’s safe before running across the road to the Cattlemarket Car Park, police said.
No one was hurt, a police spokesperson said.
