Bail extended for Crawley man after footballer stabbed


A Crawley man arrested after a football player was stabbed in Langley Green has had his bail extended.

The 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of cannabis, theft and conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm.

He has been released on bail until January 15 while investigations continue.

A 17 year-old boy from Crawley charged with grievous bodily harm is on remand and awaiting trial.

A 26-year-old man was seriously injured after being stabbed in the neck in Cherry Lane playing fields on Saturday October 24.
