Burglars scared off by whistle at property near Horsham

Two men trying to break into a property near Horsham were scared off when the owner blew a whistle at them.

Police say that the men were spotted on CCTV as they tried to break into the outbuilding of a properety in Hammerpond Road, Plummers Plain.

A spokesman said: “The owner blew a whistle and then they ran off.

“One of the males is said to either be black or wearing a black mask with a light coloured hoodie and black gloves.

“The other was wearing a brown hat with a lighter strip around the middle.”

The incident happened on January 25.
