Questions are being invited for both Katy Bourne, Sussex PCC, and the Sussex Police and Crime Panel. They will be answered at the Panel’s annual meeting on Friday June 27.

At the same meeting the panel is also expected to review the proposed appointment of Giles York as the new Sussex Police Chief Constable Giles York and Chief Finance Officer Carl Rushbridge.

The Sussex Police and Crime Panel comprises councillors from all 15 local authorities across Sussex, plus two independent members, and carries out the role of scrutinising the actions and decisions of the Commissioner.

West Sussex County Councillor Brad Watson OBE, Panel Chairman, said: “The Annual Meeting is an excellent chance for members of the public to put their questions in person to the Commissioner or to the Panel.

“We ask only to have notice and sight of the questions by noon of the previous day, to ensure the necessary administrative arrangements are in place.

“People who want to ask a question but cannot make it to the meeting can still submit a question and it will be asked by the Panel Chairman, with the answer recorded in the official minutes of the meeting.”
