Child, 3, in police protection after ‘very drunk’ mother arrested at Gatwick

A woman has been arrested for being drunk in charge of a three-year-old child.

Gatwick Police said the child had been taken into police protection.

A spokesman on Twitter said officers dealt with five separate incidents involving drunk passengers on Thursday night (September 3).

“Three of the incidents were dealing with drunk passengers on inbound flights from Prague, Tangiers and Barcelona.

“One of the incidents I’m afraid to say was a very drunk female trying to fly last night with her three-year-old child.

“The female was arrested for being drunk in charge of a child and the little one was taken into Police protection.”
