Court results - Crawley

Marc Oakden, 48, of Chandlers Field Drive, Haywards Heath, was banned from driving for two years and five months, given a community order with 120 hours of unpaid work, a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving in Crawley. Court records say he had 121mcg alcohol in 100ml breath - more than three times the legal limit of 35mcg.

Jamshid Piruz, 33, of no fixed address, was ordered to pay £100 compensation. He had pleaded guilty to common assault at Gatwick Airport.

Karen Conley, 41, of Smalls Mead, Crawley, was fined £83, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to her licence. She had pleaded guilty to speeding.

Rachael Hayes, 40, of Black Dog Walk, Crawley, was fined £40, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to her licence. She had pleaded guilty to using a mobile phone while driving.

Stephen Mehrtens, 55, of Holly Close, Crawley, was fined £100, with a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs, and three penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to speeding at Dial Post.

Nicholas Barbary, 27, of Walesbeech, Crawley, was given a community order with 60 hours of unpaid work, a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to harassing a woman in Crawley.

Peter Murphy, 23, of Mannings Close, Crawley, was fined £50, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Crawley.

Christopher Oak, 45, of Vanners, Northgate, was fined £60, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Crawley.

Adam Farley, 23, of Latimer Close, Crawley, was given a nine month conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to common assault and to causing criminal damage, both in Crawley.

Timothy Leach, 33, of Callisto Close, Crawley, was given a community order with £50 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to common assault, and to theft from Tesco in Crawley.

James Smoothy, 27, of Heathcotes, Crawley, was banned from driving for two years, with a £400 fine, a £40 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving at Copthorne.

Fouad Bahaji, 40, of no fixed address, was given a one year conditional discharge, with £97 compensation, and a £15 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to two counts of stealing engine oil from an Esso garage in Crawley.

Melanie Roberts, 47, of Chichester Place, Brighton, was banned from driving for a year, with a £180 fine, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. She had pleaded guilty to driving with illegal levels of a cannabis metabolite in her blood.

Luke Wise, 21, of Lady Margaret Road, Crawley, was given a one year conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to possessing a Class B drug (cannabis) in Ifield.

Kabba Njie, 37, of Drake Road, Crawley, was jailed for six months, with an £80 victim surcharge. He had been found guilty on five counts of possessing a bladed or pointed article in a public place.

Simone Gallagher, 21, of Welwyn Close, Bewbush, was fined £80, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. She had pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly, and admitted breaching a conditional discharge for being drunk and disorderly and for criminal damage.

Alec Gallagher, 25, of Grasmere Court, Maidenbower, was given a community order with a £150 fine, a £20 victim surcharge, and £350 costs. He had pleaded guilty to common assault, and to causing criminal damage, both in Crawley. A restraining order was made, barring him from contacting the victim.

Derek Pederson, 50, of Thirlmere Road, Ifield, was given a community order, with a £60 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to possessing a Class A drug (cocaine) in Ifield, and to failing to answer bail, and admitted breaching a conditional discharge.

Daniel Wells, 30, of Henty Close, Bewbush, was given an 18 month conditional discharge, with a £15 victim surcharge, and £250 costs. He had pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to a car in Horsham.
