A Crawley man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman.

Boguslaw Giba, 30, of Shepherd Close, Southgate, was found guilty of one count of sexual assault on Monday (June 15).

Giba sexually assaulted the woman at the Dr Samuel Johnson pub in Langley Parade, Langley Green, on September 8 2013.

A jury at Chichester Crown Court found him not guilty of one count of sexual assault by penetration following a five day trial.

A spokesman for the court said Giba was sentenced to 18 months in prison but was released straight away because he already had served the time in custody. He had spent 368 days in prison and 106 days on a curfew.

Giba was put on the Sex Offenders Register for ten years.
