Crawley victim of £20,000 burglary was keeping cash for building work


The victim of a £20,000 burglary was going to use the cash for building work, says Sussex Police.

Two cash boxes containing some £20,000 were stolen from a home in Northgate Road, Northgate, on Tuesday last week (July 28).

A police spokesman said: “Nothing else in the house was taken.

“No arrests have yet been made and police are continuing with their enquiries.

“The homeowner had the cash to help pay for building work.”
