Investigation after Eastbourne house fire
Firefighters from Eastbourne, Pevensey and Heathfield were called to the residential property in Fort Lane behind Seasid.
A spokesperson at East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said, “At 11.20pm we were called to attend a fire in a residential property on Fort Lane.

Hide Ad“The fire had taken hold in the roof space on the property. All persons were accounted for.
“Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one main jet and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
“A fire investigation is due to take place later on today (Thursday July 16).
The property is directly behind the Alexandra Arms public house which was badly damaged in arson attacks on three separate occasions in the last two weeks.
