Lancing man charged with dozen of historic child sex offences

A LANCING man has been charged with dozens of historic sexual offences against boys.

Taffy Mark Evans, 54, of Old Shoreham Road, has been charged with 27 offences, 20 that relate to historic child sex offences and seven that relate to indecent photographs of children.

The historic child sex offences are all on boys under the age of 14 and include 16 of indecent assault, one of gross indecency and three other serious sexual offences.

The offences were committed across Surrey, East and West Sussex as well as in Wales.

The accused worked as a Scout leader and train guard from Redhill, working on the route to Littlehampton.

He will appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on June 3.
