November 3:

Mohamad Mia, 20, of Dumbrills Close, Burgess Hill, pleaded guilty to using a Vauxhall vehicle on Church Walk, Burgess Hill, on December 31, last year, with no insurance. He was fined £200.

Guy Raynes, 41, of Monks Way, Fareham, Hampshire, pleaded guilty to driving a Skoda vehicle on London Road, Crawley, on December 6 last year, with a defective tyre and no MOT. He was fined £683.

Stuart Woodford, 39, of Climping Road, Ifield, Crawley, pleaded guilty to driving a Volvo vehicle on Broadfield Drive, Crawley, on February 25, with cannabis in his bloodstream. 
He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of 12 small bags of cannabis at Crawley on the same date. He was fined £200 and banned from driving for 16 months.

Stefan Szabo, 52, of Hever Road, Edenbridge, Kent, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle at Buckingham Gate, Gatwick Airport, on September 28, while disqualified from driving. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance on the same date. He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months and banned from driving for two years.

November 4:

Liam Bignall, 19, of Top Street, Haywards Heath, pleaded guilty to three charges of assault by beating. The offences took place at Haywards Heath on August 14 and 15. The court made a community order with a requirement of 200 hours of unpaid work.

Phillip Brookes, 48, of Northmead, Henfield, indicated guilty pleas to 17 charges of issuing an MOT certificate without carrying out the MOT. 
The offences took place at Bolney Grange, Garage, Bolney between January 7 and February 1. 
The court made a community order with a requirement of 100 hours of unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £1,567 in costs.

Jamie Cowsell, 49, of Warren Drive, Crawley, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing clothes worth £379.94 from T K Maxx, at County Oak Retail Park, Crawley, on March 11. He was fined £120.

Paul Toomey, 56, of Victoria Close, Horley, indicated a plea of guilty to racially aggravated threatening behaviour. The offence took place at High Street, Crawley, on April 23. He also indicated a plea of guilty to damaging a pane of glass at High Street, Crawley, on the same date. He indicated a guilty plea to using racially aggravated threatening behaviour towards a police officer at Horley High Street, on June 20 and to resisting a police officer at Horley on the same date. He also indicated guilty pleas to three charges of threatening behaviour, at High Street, Crawley, on June 21. He was sentenced to 17 weeks in prison and ordered to pay £250 in compensation. Magistrates said the reason for the custodial sentence was due to ‘aggravated offences, on a number of occasions, causing significant distress’.

November 9:

Jamie Baldwin, 25, of Franklands Village, Haywards Heath, pleaded guilty to driving a Land Rover Discovery at Haywards Heath, on October 9, while more than three times over the drink-drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 113 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. The court made a community order with a requirement of 60 hours of unpaid work. He was banned from driving for two years.

Nicu Gorgan, 29, of St Aubin Close, Crawley, pleaded guilty to driving a Citroen vehicle on Pease Pottage Hill, Crawley, on October 10, while more than twice over the drink-drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 99 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. The court made a community order with a requirement of 60 hours of unpaid work. He was banned from driving for 25 months.

Rcihard Grundy, 59, of The Grattons, Slinfold, Horsham, pleaded guilty to being in breach of a Community Protection Notice by being drunk in a public place at West Street, Horsham, on August 11. He also pleaded guilty to being drunk in a public place and acting in a manner, which causes harassment, alarm, or distress, at Bishopric, Horsham, on October 8. He was fined £50 for each offence.

Julie Ross, 45, of Sargent Way, Broadbridge Heath, Horsham, pleaded guilty to driving a Jeep vehicle on Bowling Lane, Billingshurst, on October 10, while over the drink drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 69 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. She was fined £290 and banned from driving for 17 months.

November 10:

Sam Liley, 30, of North Street, Horsham, pleaded guilty to being the driver of a Skoda vehicle on Albion Way, Horsham, on April 15, and failing to report an accident in which damage was caused to another vehicle. He also pleaded guilty to failing to stop following an accident and to driving without due care and attention at Horsham, on the same date. He was fined £153 and his driving record endorsed with three penalty points.

Andrew Reed, 41, of Derwent Close, Horsham, was found guilty of failing to give information to police relating to the identification of the driver of an Audi vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence in Sussex on November 22, last year. He was fined £660 and banned from driving for six months.

Alexander Stimpson, 32, of Winthorpe Road, London, was found guilty of failing to give information to police relating to the identification of the driver of a BMW vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence in Sussex on February 26. He was fined £660 and his driving record endorsed with six penalty points.
