February 26:

Faisal Rehman, 44, of Juniper Road, Crawley, pleaded guilty to being in charge of a motor vehicle, at Cherry Lane, Crawley, on February 11, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 51 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was fined £60 and his driving record endorsed with ten penalty points.

John Brooks, 47, of St Leonards Park, East Grinstead, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing a wheelie bin at Burgess Hill on August 7, last year. He pleaded guilty to interfering with a VW Golf car, with the intention of theft, at Burgess Hill, on the same date. He indicated a plea of guilty to stealing copper piping and a pressure washer at Burgess Hill on August 7. The court made a community order with a requirement of 60 hours of unpaid work.

Liam McGovern, 24, of Iveagh Close, Crawley, pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen vehicle on Canterbury Road, Crawley, on November 16 last year, while disqualified from driving. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance at Crawley on the same date. He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for one year. The court made a community order with a requirement of 200 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for 34 months.

Sam Tasquier, 18, of Smithbarn, Horsham, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall vehicle on Roman Lane, Southwater, Horsham, on June 8, last year, with the controlled drug Benzoylecgonine in his blood stream. He was fined £150 and banned from driving for one year.

Joshua Brant, 18, of Albion Way, Horsham, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a knife in a public place at Springfield Road, Horsham, on February 13. The court made a community order with a requirement of 50 hours of unpaid work.

March 2:

Fazal Ullah, 52, of Angelica Gardens, Croydon, Surrey, pleaded guilty to driving a BMW on Airport Way, Gatwick, on January 2 last year, with no insurance. He was fined £500 and his driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.

Donald Mardell, 58, of Longfield Road, Horsham, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice not to cause harassment, alarm, or distress. The offence took place at Foundry Lane, Horsham, on November 16. He pleaded guilty to a further breach of a Community Protection Notice, at Horsham on January 25, by being in possession of an open vessel of alcohol. He was fined £50 for each offence.

Lee O’Neil, 36, of Brighton Road, Horley, indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting a police officer. The offence took place at Burgess Hill, on October 10 last year. He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for one year. The court made a community order with a requirement of 20 hours of unpaid work and ordered him to pay £150 in compensation.

Joshua Rathbone, 34, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the Sexual Offences Act 2003 by failing to give details of his living status. The offences took place at Crawley on October 7 and November 18 last year. He was given a six month conditional discharge.

March 3:

Richard Hicks, 57, of Charrington Way, Broadbridge Heath, Horsham, pleaded guilty to two charges of threatening behaviour that the court found were motivated by hostility towards persons who have a disability or a particular disability. The offences took place at Crawley on July 26 last year. He also indicated a plea of guilty to pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a person by sending numerous emails. The court made a community order with a requirement of 180 hours of unpaid work and ordered him to pay £100 in compensation. Magistrates issued a restraining order.

Lee Jennings, 32, of Cissbury Road, Burgess Hill, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of an offensive weapon - an extendable police baton, at Burgess Hill, on May 31, last year. He also indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis at Burgess Hill, on the same date. The court made a community order with a requirement of 80 hours of unpaid work.

Alexandra Karadimas, 23, of America Lane, Haywards Heath, pleaded guilty to three charges of assaulting a police officer. The offences took place at Haywards Heath on August 8 last year. She was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, suspended for one year. The court made a community order and ordered her to pay £200 in compensation.

Cameron Grisley, 26, of Sloughbrook Close, Horsham, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Horsham on November 30. He also pleaded guilty to causing £50 damage to a living room and bedroom wall at Horsham on the same date. He pleaded guilty to sending threatening messages at Horsham on November 30. He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison,suspended for 18 months. The court made a community order with a requirement of 100 hours of unpaid work and ordered him to pay £100 in compensation.

March 4:

Talla Jagne, 31, of Charlotte Despard Avenue, Wandsworth, London, pleaded guilty to driving a Fiat vehicle on Tollgate Hill, Broadfield, Crawley, on February 14, while disqualified from driving. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance at Crawley on the same date. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing and released on unconditional bail.
