Man dies after assault in Crawley

The man sustained 'critical injuries' in the assault which took place in Russell Way in Three Bridges, police have said.

Armed police and scene of crime officers attended overnight and a hunt is underway as police search for the suspect.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Sadly, a man has died after sustaining critical injuries in an assault in Russell Way, Crawley, on Tuesday evening. We are searching for a suspect known to the victim, but are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
