Man suffers fractured skull in Crawley assault

A man has been taken to hospital with a fractured skull following an assault.

Police have appealed for information after the man, 43, was assaulted during an argument in Borage Close, Broadfield, shortly before 10pm on Saturday (June 27).

A police spokesman said he was punched twice in the face and knocked to the ground.

He sustained a fractured skull and is in a stable condition in the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.

His injury was not considered life-threatening.

The attacker was described as a man in his early 20s, 5’10”, skinny but muscular build, with cropped blond or light brown hair. He was wearing dark coloured tracksuit bottoms.

Witnesses were asked to email or phone 101, quoting serial 1643 of 27/6.

Alternatively they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers without having to leave their name on 0800 555 111.
