Man threatened with knife after ‘road rage’ row in Crawley

A man was dragged out of car, threatened with a knife and assaulted after a ‘road rage’ row.

Sussex Police was called after two groups of people in two cars argued on a roundabout in Maidenbower Drive, Maidenbower, at 7pm on Saturday (July 18).

A spokesman said: “One driver accused the other of not giving way properly on the roundabout. The driver then followed the other car into Maidenbower Park car park and an argument broke out. The driver of a Toyota Aygo said he was dragged out of his car, threatened with a knife and assaulted.

“The other vehicle was traced and three men all aged 18 were arrested on suspicion of affray initially. One 18-year-old from Crawley was later released without further action, an 18-year-old from Maidenbower accepted a caution for possession of a knife and a third 18-year-old from Crawley accepted a caution for assault and possession of drugs.
