Obscene graffiti has been smeared on the wall of a Horsham town centre car park.

The graphic-language message has been scrawled in red paint on the side of The Forum car park.

Horsham District Council, which is responsible for removing graffiti from public property, says graffiti is classified as criminal damage with penalties ranging from on-the-spot fines to 10 years’ imprisonment.

A spokesman said: “If the graffiti is of an offensive nature, we will endeavour to remove it within 24 hours. Other non-offensive graffiti will be removed within 3-5 days.”
