Police appeal after rail staff '˜sworn at and spat on'

Commuters have been asked to help trace a man wanted in connection with spitting at a member of rail staff, British Transport Police has confirmed.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “A member of rail staff was in an information kiosk at Victoria station, when she was approached by a man who swore at her, spat in her face and threw his coffee over her.

“We would like to speak to this man in connection with the incident, which took place on the main concourse at around 2.20pm on February 6.

“We won’t stand for threatening behaviour and we certainly won’t stand for violence.

“If you recognise him, let us know by calling 0800 40 50 40 or texting 61016 with the reference number 282 of February 6.”
