Police respond to ‘fight between group of youths’ at Crawley station

A teenager was assaulted and had his phone stolen in an incident at Crawley railway station.

Officers were called to Crawley station at 7.35pm on 5 September following reports of a fight between a group of youths, British Transport Police said.

A spokesman added: “A 17-year-old man was assaulted, and had his phone stolen. He was taken to hospital by paramedics, where he received treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

“Enquiries into the incident are currently ongoing, and anyone who witnessed what happened can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 451 of 05/09/20.”
