Police have seized a gun and arrested a man after conducting warrants at addresses in Billingshurst and Horsham.

Sussex Police conducted two warrants on Sunday morning (10 May); one at a property in Arun Road, Billingshurst, and the second at a property in Rusper Road, Horsham, according to a spokeswoman.

She said: “A firearm was recovered from one of the properties and a 64-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a shotgun without a certificate.”

The man has been released under investigation while enquiries are ongoing, the spokeswoman added.
