Seaford man robbed and threatened with knife in Crawley

A man was threatened with a knife and had personal property stolen during a robbery in Crawley on Sunday (July 19).

A 41-year-old man from Seaford was walking to a friend’s address when he was attacked in Springfield Road at 8.15pm.

Police said he was approached by two men, one of whom pushed him and threatened him with a knife before stealing personal property and running away.

The victim was unhurt.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said both suspects are black men, both aged 25-35, both of slim build and both 6’ tall.

One, clean shaven, was wearing a red baseball cap worn to the front, a black jumper and grey jogging bottoms.

The second suspect had thick black afro-style hair, shorter at the sides. He was wearing a grey pullover hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms.

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses to this incident or anyone who may have seen the two suspects in the area or running towards The Railway public house.
