Sussex Police search for ‘intoxicated’ mobility scooter rider with purple hair

An intoxicated man with purple hair rode a mobility scooter recklessly yesterday (Thursday, July 22), Mid Sussex Police have said.

Mid Sussex Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Darren Taylor said the incident happened at 8.30pm in Oathall Road, Haywards Heath.

He said the ‘intoxicated male’ had ‘purple hair dye dripping down their face’ and was ‘riding a mobility scooter in a reckless manner’.

“Concerned motorists contacted the team about him,” said Inspector Taylor, adding that police carried out a search of the area but could not find any sign of the man.
