UPDATED: Man in his twenties suffers '˜serious injuries' after crashing with bus

The crash happened after 7pm outside the Sportsman Pub and the man, who was driving a silver peugeot 206, was taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’, a police spokesman said.
The spokesman also confirmed that only the driver was on the bus so there were ‘no passengers to be concerned about’.

Hide AdHe also said there were initial reports that the car was on fire but it was only smoking when police arrived to the scene.
The road was closed for a couple of hours due to the crash.
