A driver verbally abused a parking warden over a parking dispute in Crawley town centre, police have said.

The incident happened in the High Street shortly after 4pm on October 3.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said said a woman verbally abused the 44-year old female warden.

A 32-year-old local woman has been interviewed by appointment, under caution, on suspicion of using threatening and abusive words and behaviour.

Witnesses were asked to contact the police via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting serial 1141 of 03/10.
