Woman injured in attempted Crawley street mugging

A woman was left with multiple injuries after an attempted mugging in Crawley on Saturday.

Police say that the victim - a woman in her 40s - was walking between Andromeda Close and Harmony Close, Bewbush, at around 5.10pm on Saturday when the attack happened.

She was approached by two men, one of whom tried to grab her handbag while the other pushed her to the floor. She was left with ‘multiple minor injuries,’ say police.

One of the men is described as white, in his late teens, wearing square-framed glasses and a black duffel coat with the hood up.

No description of the second man has been given.
