Sergeant Mark Ritchie, from the Hailsham Neighbourhood Policing Team, said, “Crimes like this have a negative effect on communities, making residents and business owners feel unsafe. This swift arrest is a positive outcome, but enquiries are continuing, so I would urge anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area around the time the incident happened to contact Sussex Police.”
