A series of open days are to be held for a new primary school currently being built between Horsham and Crawley.

The school - Kilnwood Vale Primary - is under construction on the Kilnwood Vale estate off the A264 at Faygate and is set to open next summer.

Registration is now open until January 15, with ‘offer day’ on April 16.

Officials say anyone interested in registering their child can attend one of three open days: on Saturday November 17 at 10am at Bewbush Barn Church, Francis Edwards Way, Bewbush, Crawley; Wednesday December 5 - with tours of another new school at 2pm and 4pm followed by presentations at 2.30pm and 4.30pm at Forge Wood Primary School, Somerley Drive, Crawley; and on Tuesday January 8 at 4pm at Faygate Village Hall, Park Road, Faygate.

The new free Faygate school, and a nursery, will provide two classes per year group for children aged from two to 11, with the possibility of three classes per year group in future.

Multi academy trust GLF has been selected by the Education Department, the Education and Skills Funding Agency and West Sussex County Council as the school operator.
