Deliberate fire destroys vehicle

A deliberate fire destroyed a van and damaged two others vehicles over the weekend.

Firefighters were called Antlands Lane, near Copthorne, at around 7pm on Saturday (December 12) .

A spokesman for the fire service said the van was well alight on arrival and crews spent a hour tackling the blaze.

The fire destroyed the van and damaged two other cars. No-one was injured.

Two hose reels and two breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the flames and the fire is being treated as a deliberate blaze.
