Confusion over Downton Abbey, coffee-making dilemmas and airport questions are among the issues Crawley Travelodge customers raise with hotel staff.
The organisation has revealed some of the more unusual requests made by customers at the Crawley hotel throughout the year.
Does Crawley have anything to do with the Crawley’s from Downton Abbey? Are there are any actors here?
Does the airport shuttle take me directly to the plane?
I think I made my coffee with too much sugar. Please could you help me get it out?
Can you move my room to look over the runway?
Can you let me know how long the wait will be in the airport please?
I’m going to watch the football later. If my wife asks, will you tell her I’ve had to go to a meeting?
Will you find out if my plane has any safety problems before we leave?
Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge spokeswoman said: “With over 17 million customers staying annually in our 506 UK Travelodge hotels, our hotel teams receive thousands of unusual requests from business and leisure travellers.
“Our hotel teams will always try their best to accommodate all customer requests but there are some requests that we just cannot help with such as removing sugar from coffee or moving the hotel to look over the runway.”
