Performances will be at the Funky Fish Nightclub, Madeira Hotel, Marine Parade, Brighton which will be is re-living the glitzy disco days of the 1970s for a comedy of “lust, passion and silly dance moves” courtesy of Prodigy Productions.

Ann sets the scene: “It’s 1978 and the only place to be seen is Infernos, Knightsbridge – the most glamorous nightclub in town, where sexy girls and ageing, wealthy men party late. Your DJ for the night is Daddy Cool. He spins all the latest disco sounds, including top twenty spoof hits: This Is A Disco, La La Lenin, Dance Kapital and the unforgettable Hot Lady.

“Tony Cocksure is the stud who pulls in the crowd. Only charm and good looks keep him from the gutter. Women want him and he knows it. Ktel Brevell is the Bitch who owns the club. She has the money, the glamour, the sex appeal. She demands everything and makes sure she gets it.

“When Ktel finds a new ‘pet’ to manage Infernos, Tony is back on the streets. He finds revenge with a new mentor – the blonde, Swedish Britt. They set up a new disco, a better disco: Paradise! Only the unthinkable happens. Tony and Ktel can’t live without each other. This is a love story, sort of, from the Martini Bianco age – rude, exciting, passionate – when men were men and women had perms.”

Ann Feloy added: “There will be really sophisticated cabaret-style seating, ie tables of four, and following the Friday night shows there will be a 70s disco, so we hope people will dress the part and stay on after the show to boogie on down.”

Performances are 8pm-9.45pm (15 min interval) followed by 70s club night on May 13 and 20 (Fridays). Tickets £10 (£8 concs), two for one offer on preview night, May 11.
