Drivers’ warned over delays

DRIVERS are being advised there will be delays in a West Sussex village during drainage works.

Improvements to the drains are due to start next week (Monday April 12) in Billingshurst.

The £20,000 West Sussex County Council scheme will involve installing new larger sized drainage pipes and additional road gullies to prevent flooding in the area.

The scheme is scheduled to take up to two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

It will be carried Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and occasionally on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm.

Temporary traffic lights will be in operation for the duration of the scheme.
