eBooks now available at West Sussex libraries

Calling all book lovers! West Sussex libraries have an exciting new digital service, you can now download and enjoy eBooks, eAudio and eMagazines for your smartphone, tablet and eBook reader, 24/7 and all for free.

Most eBook readers are compatible with this service including the Kindle Fire, with the exception of the Kindle 1st Generation and Paperwhite models.

You can borrow seven eBooks and ten eAudio files for up to 21 days. When the loan period comes to an end the eBook will automatically be deleted from your account, so there are no late fees.

There are currently over 2,000 eBook and eAudio titles to choose from and the list is growing daily.

Each eAudio title has unlimited availability so there are no waiting lists. You can also choose from 100 popular magazine titles to download and read online, covering everything from food to computers and music.

Lionel Barnard cabinet member for resident services said: “This is an exciting new digital service from the Library Service, available free of charge and available 24/7.

“We want to attract a new audience who prefer to read digitally. We also hope this new service will increase access to our libraries for our customers who find it difficult to visit a physical library.
