A Levels: Molly from Oriel High gets three A*s

Oriel High School pupil Molly Edwards got three A*s in her A Levels.

Molly, 18, from Stone Court, Maidenbower, saw she had made her offer to study English Literature at the University of Bristol when she checked the UCAS website this morning (August 13).

She said: “I ran straight downstairs to tell my mum I got in.

“She was really happy, she asked ‘have you definitely got in?’

“She was more nervous than I was.”

Molly went to school to check her grades for her English Literature, History and Media Studies A Levels.

She said: “I’m really pleased.

“I wasn’t expecting to get three A*s.

“I didn’t really know how they [my exams] went.”

Molly had revised after school and took many practice exam papers.

She plans to have a career involving literature.

She chose to study books about obsession, The Virgin Suicides and Lolita, for her English Literature A-level.
