Farm Diary by Gwyn Jones

An interesting week. May I first of all thank the person who left a gate open on the public footpath, which resulted in almost two days of searching for yearling heifers in the woods.

Luckily they were able to re-trace their steps, having remembered that they were missing some good meals, assisted by the fact that there is little to eat in the woods no doubt and we found them. We could have done without the time wasted and we did not need the exercise.

We are frantically trying to finish the silage clamp and by the time you read this, the maize harvest is underway, weather permitting.
