Flood alert for the River Mole area

The Environment Agency says flooding is possible for Ifield Brook, Upper River Mole, Gatwick Stream, Burstow Stream and Salfords Stream.

Further heavy showers are forecast overnight tonight (Sunday), which could cause water levels to rise further.

The Environment Agency said: “No flooding of property is currently expected, however we are monitoring the situation and will issue flood warnings if required.

“Please take care in areas close to the river, and monitor your local weather conditions.”
