A plan to launch a farmer’s market in a train station car park has been submitted to the council.
Southern Rail has requested to change the use of part of the Three Bridge Station car park every Sunday.
The plan, submitted to Crawley Borough Council, has proposed to sell regional food and products from the car park, located just off Haslett Avenue East.
Currently the car park has 388 spaces, but has been found to be under-utilised on Sundays.
If the farmers’ market is granted approval it will leave 185 spaces.
It would run from 7am to 2.30pm each Sunday, with set up from 5am and the site would be cleared by 4pm.
Planning officers are expected to reach a decision by July 10.
