Festive tunes from John

Christmas tunes and cheerful banter bring the festive spirit to the Assembly Hall in Worthing when keyboard and theatre organ player John Mann unveils his latest Christmas Music Show on December 5.

John will be joined on stage by organist Iain Flitcroft for a double-act filled with music and puns. Their gentle comic style will be interspersed by pieces such as Victorian ballad The Star of Bethlehem, excerpts on the organ from The Nutcracker suite and piano and organ duets including The Carousel Waltz.

In keeping with tradition, Iain and John will be bringing their alter-egos, Cissy and Ada, to the stage.

John said: “The two ladies are showing up again but with a new look this year, or rather an old look should I say. They are as saucy as ever!”

John will create another character, The Great Marvo, who he promises will be one of the greatest magicians between Worthing and Goring.

John says: “We shall also be having some carols with the words projected on the screen and a real festive sing along. If this doesn’t get everyone in the mood for Christmas I don’t know what would!”
