Fight in Little Common

SHOPPERS who witnessed a Sunday morning punch-up at a supermarket check-out are being sought by police.

PC Chris Biddiss of the Bexhill Neighbourhood Policing Team said that at about 10.20am there was a fight between a man in his sixties and a man in his forties at the check-out at the Co-op's Cooden Sea Road store in Little Common.

Punches were exchanged and one of the men suffered a slight facial injury.

"The Co-op was busy at the time. We have spoken to witnesses but we are aware that there are quite a few people we have not spoken to who were witnesses to this affray.

"This was violence in a public place and we want to be quite positive in how we deal with these two gentlemen."

PC Biddiss this week appealed via the Observer for witnesses to the incident to contact him at Bexhill police station on 0845 6070999, quoting serial 646 of August 13.
